For over 20 years Gary Mullen and The Works have been performing their world-renowned One Night of Queen live concert.
Gary Mullen & The Works (featuring Gary Mullen on vocals, David Brockett onguitar, Malcolm Gentles on keyboards, Jon Halliwell on drums and …TBC.. on bass)will have you dancing in the aisles during their show, while the band pays tributeto the stage theatrics, showmanship, and music of Rock & Roll Hall of Fameinductees: Queen.
In 2000, Gary Mullen won the Granada TV programme “Stars in Their Eyes” withhis performance as Queen’s lead singer: Freddie Mercury. Mullen’s embodimentof Freddie Mercury resulted in him gaining 864,838 votes in the show’s Live GrandFinal. The number of fans who voted for Mullen was more than double that of therunner-up, thus setting an all-time record for votes in the history of theprogramme.
For over two decades, Gary Mullen & The Works have performed to sold-outaudiences around the world, playing more than 2,500 live shows to audiences inover 20 countries - performing in many of the same venues that Queen haveplayed at around the world.

One Night of Queen is one of the best Queen tribute shows ever, with Gary Mullen & The Works’ excellent presentation and nearly two hours of the stage show. The group has been touring all over the world for many years with their performance based on Queen’s concerts between 1980 and 1986. Gary Mullen won the talent contest Stars In Their Eyes contest in 2000 by imitating Freddie Mercury. Gary Mullen is the lead vocal of the group, along with a wonderful Freddie Mercury
performance.

In 2000, Gary Mullen won ITV’s “Stars In Their Eyes” Live Grand Final, with the largest number of votes ever received in the shows history. The record of 864,838 votes was more than twice that of the runner-up. Gary began touring on his own and in 2002 formed a band ‘The Works’, to pay tribute to rock legends Queen. Since May 2002, ‘Gary Mullen and the Works’ have performed throughout the UK, USA, Europe, South Africa and New Zealand to sell-out audiences. The outfit have also twice rocked the prestigious BBC Proms in the Park, in front of a very enthusiastic crowd of 40,000.
