Get The Led Out

A Celebration of “The Mighty Zep”

Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 8:00 PM at Garde Arts Center

Get The Led Out Music Without Borders

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO) have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the concert stage.

The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard before. Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-create the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album…GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage. No wigs or fake English accents.

Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” Get The Led Out offers a strong focus on the early years. They also touch on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever heard in concert.  GTLO also include a special “acoustic set” with Zep favorites such as “Tangerine” and the “Battle of Evermore” being performed in its’ original instrumentation with guest singer Diana DeSantis joining the band.

GTLO has amassed a strong national touring history, having performed at major club and PAC venues across the country. GTLO’s approach to their performance of this hallowed catalog is not unlike a classical performance. “Led Zeppelin are sort of the classical composers of the rock era,” says lead vocalist Paul Sinclair. “I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of our time. As cliché as it sounds, their music is timeless.”

A GTLO concert mimics the “light and shade” that are the embodiment of “The Mighty Zep.” Whether it’s the passion and fury with which they deliver the blues-soaked, groove-driven rock anthems, it’s their attention to detail and nuance that makes a Get The Led Out performance a truly awe-inspiring event!

Tusk - The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute

Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 8:00 PM at SOPAC

Tusk - The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Music Without Borders

Tusk is the number one Tribute to Fleetwood Mac in the world, bar none.

No fancy tricks, no gimmicks, just five musicians recreating the music of Fleetwood Mac to perfection with note for note renditions that no other Fleetwood Mac tribute on the touring scene today can come close to duplicating.

Tusk covers all the great hits of Fleetwood Mac, which has featured the talents of Mick Fleetwood, Christine and John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and others over the years. The five seasoned, well-respected musicians comprising Tusk have been making music together in various combinations and styles, in original outfits and in cover bands, for over twenty-five years. It seemed only fitting that they should come together to form the Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute and pay homage to a group that dominated the charts during the band members’ formative years. Authentic-sounding and always respectful, Tusk leaves no stone unturned in replicating the sounds of one of the world’s best-loved, top-selling bands.

Kathy Phillips – Vocals

Taking the role of front woman Stevie Nicks, Kathy Phillips IS Stevie Nicks. An amazing New Jersey Singer-Songwriter, Phillips captures the essence of Stevie in every way – her voice, demeanor, clothing, stage presence and more. A professional musician for over 20 years, Kathy has been known for her incredible original music as well as her uncanny vocalization and Stevie Nicks look. Phillips fills the shoes of Nicks with such ease, she leaves audiences truly mesmerized.

Kim Williams – Vocals & keys

Vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kim Williams has spent decades honing her craft, deftly switching from rhythm section to solid lead player without missing a beat. Hearing and replicating tight vocal harmonies, a hallmark of the Fleetwood Mac sound, is no problem for this choral music enthusiast. Classically trained on piano and voice, a huge fan of 70s classic and Southern Rock and raised on Willie and Waylon, Dolly and George and the Great American Songbook, Kim uses all her influences, years of training and natural instincts to bring the music of Christine McVie and Fleetwood Mac to appreciative audiences all around the region.

Scott McDonald – Guitar & Vocals

Scott McDonald, guitarist and vocalist, has been performing for over 30 years. One of his earliest influences was Lindsey Buckingham and his amazing style of singing and rhythmic guitar playing. Having worked with the members of TUSK over the years in various other projects, his cohesion with the players evolved and strengthened to where they are today. Some of his recent accomplishments included winning the 2010 Lehigh Valley Singer-Songwriter Acoustic Contest and winning the coveted slot of being the lead singer in the first “House Band” for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs Minor League Baseball team. Scott is passionately committed to giving his best performance possible every time he and the band recreate the incredible music of Fleetwood Mac live.

Tom Nelson – Drums

A well-seasoned drummer is Tom Nelson, to say the least, who carries the task of filling the shoes of the great Mick Fleetwood. A music teacher, and longtime drummer with over 20 years experience, Nelson is the guy who gets the job done as he recreates all the hits of Fleetwood Mac and more. Guaranteed to provide you with a drum solo you won’t forget, Nelson hits Fleetwood on all cylinders.

Randy Artiglere – Bass

Randy brings an extensive 30 years of bass playing experience in many styles of music to Tusk. With his attention to detail, he meticulously replicates the style and tone of Fleetwood Mac’s bass player, John McVie. Although, not to be an exact duplicate, Randy tosses in some of his own style and flare, giving Tusk’s bottom end the authentic Fleetwood Mac sound but with an energy that translates to live performance in a way that gets audiences grooving, whether they are Fleetwood Mac fans or not.

Journeyman Music Without Borders

Fronted by Shaun Hague (Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Amos Lee, John Waite), Journeyman has become the #1 tribute to Rock and Blues guitar hero Eric Clapton. With more than 50 years of music to choose from, Journeyman covers it all – “Layla,” “Badge,” “The Core,” “White Room,” “Lay Down Sally,” “Tulsa Time,” “Cocaine” and many more.

Shaun Hague has built quite the resume in the last decade of his life. At just 17, he was named “The Best Young Blues Guitarist” by The House of Blues and by 21, the young guitarist was playing guitar for Blues phenom Kenny Wayne Shepherd. His career has also seen him sharing the stage with Amos Lee, John Waite, Terra Naomi, performing on Jay Leno and sitting in with John Fogerty.

In honor of his biggest musical influence (Eric Clapton), Hague has been making waves with Journeyman – A Tribute to Eric Clapton. The show features Robert Monroe (keys/vocals), Darius Peterson (drums) and Laura Lopardo (backing vocals). Together, they provide a powerful performance of all aspects of Clapton’s career from playing with the Bluesbreakers to recording From The Cradle.

John Pizzarelli

A Centennial Celebration of Nat King Cole

Friday, April 26, 2019 at 8PM at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts

John Pizzarelli mwb music without borders

World-renowned guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli has been hailed by the Boston Globe for “reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz.” The Toronto Star pegged him as “the genial genius of the guitar,” and the Seattle Times saluted him as “a rare entertainer of the old school.” For this show, he honors the music of the Nat King Cole Trio with a selection of their classics.

Established as one of the prime contemporary interpreters of the Great American Songbook, Pizzarelli has expanded that repertoire by including the music of Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Antônio Carlos Jobim and The Beatles. His themed shows, often performed with his wife Jessica Molaskey, suggest there is no limit to Pizzarelli’s imagination or talent.

Having concentrated on the music of Paul McCartney, Johnny Mercer and Frank Sinatra over the last two years, Pizzarelli has returned to the bossa nova of Antonio Carlos Jobim with his July 28, 2017 Concord Jazz release Sinatra & Jobim @ 50. With co-vocalist Daniel Jobim, grandson of the legendary Brazilian composer, the two explore songs Sinatra and Jobim recorded in 1967 and 1969 as well as add new songs to the mix flavored with the spirit of the classic Francis Albert Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim album.

Pizzarelli’s latest album for Concord is a follow-up to his wildly successful Midnight McCartney, an album The New Yorker said “may be the best collection of McCartney covers ever recorded.”

Since its release in 2015, Pizzarelli has toured North America, South America, Asia and Europe performing shows centered on Frank Sinatra’s centennial, the songs of Johnny Mercer and a McCartney program in which his quartet is joined by strings and a horn section. He also tours on a double bill with pianist Ramsey Lewis and is looking forward to touring a celebration of Nat King Cole’s music for his centennial, which will be in 2019.

While plenty of jazz greats influenced his work – Benny Goodman, Les Paul, Zoot Sims, Clark Terry and Slam Stewart, among others – Cole has been Pizzarelli’s hero and foundation over the last 25 years. He devoted two albums to his music, Dear Mr. Cole in 1994 and P.S. Mr. Cole, recorded and released five years later.

In addition to being a bandleader and solo performer, John has been a special guest on recordings for major pop names such as James Taylor, Natalie Cole, Kristin Chenoweth, Tom Wopat, Rickie Lee Jones and Dave Van Ronk, as well as leading jazz artists such as Rosemary Clooney, Ruby Braff, Johnny Frigo, Buddy DeFranco, Harry Allen and, of course, Bucky Pizzarelli. He was featured opposite Donna Summer, Jon Secada and Roberta Flack on the GRAMMY Award-winning CD, Songs from the Neighborhood: The Music of Mr. Rogers in 2005.

John has performed on the country’s most popular national television shows such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonConanGreat Performances and the talk shows of Jay Leno, David Letterman, Regis Philbin and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Also in New York are regular stands at Birdland with his combo where he premiered the Sinatra-Jobim collection in August 2017.
